| I'm in FL. now but tomorrow I'll be moved to Miss. so it pretty much sucks. I don't know how long I'm going to be doing all of this relief effort thing but seeing all of the distruction sucks. we flew into new orleans on the first day and dropped off food and water and then we started to airlift alot of people from the convention center to the airport. it's pretty bad. mississippi is even worst. there are whole towns that are just piles of timber and trash now. and most of the areas have no power so getting work done is hard. that night on the first day we had to spend the night in an old gym, because we couldn't fly out of new orleans that night. it sucked hard. ever since then we've been flying food and water in and people out. but tomorrow myself and gale will be doing some ground pounding in blouxi and gulfport miss. getting some shots from there......these people here have nothing, when we flew into the convention center there were dead bodies all around and some of the people tring to stay alive as best they can. the worst part is the smell. you can litterally smell new orleans from the air about 5 to 10 mins before you get there. garbage, sewage and rotting bodies, yum, yum. but that's all for now. |
